184th Tactical Fighter Group

The 184th Tactical Fighter Group, known as the Dark Angels, is a Starfleet Figher Wing assigned originally to the USS Cambrian (NCC-74986), and then later to its successor, the USS Cambrian (NCC-74986-A).
Originally, the 184th Tactical Fighter Group was a Marine, ground-based Air Superiority/Close Air Support fighter group organized and assigned to protect Bajor during the Dominion War. The 184th gained notoriety amongst the Starfleet Aerospace Corps for debunking several of the Cardassian's attempts to re-invade and occupy Bajor after the fall of Deep Space 9. In these battles, 184th Pilots found themselves venturing farther and farther into space, and eventually played a key role in re-taking Deep Space 9. After the Dominion War, the 184th returned to Bajor for a more political war in the reconstruction efforts.
In 2381, the 184th was expanded to a full Wing added naval pilots with experience in space combat, and was reassigned to the USS Cambrian as a Carrier Wing. The unit was further restructured following extensive casulties incurred during the loss of the original USS Cambrian, and was downsized to just two squadrons for her deployment aboard the Nebula-class Cambrian-A.
