The Academy Commandant (AC) is the officer in charge of managing Sixth Fleet Academy and ensuring that every cadet who enters Sixth Fleet is properly trained. The Commandant role can be stand alone or combined with the role of Chief of Personnel Administration. The Academy Commandant is also responsible for managing Sixth Fleet Academy's Expansion Course or Advanced Studies programs.

The current Academy Commandant is Commodore Matt Antrobus.
