Aidan Ross Campbell was born in Glasgow, Scotland to parents Alasdair and Jean Campbell on September 28th, 2352. His parents are retired bureaucrats who have worked at the Federation Council in San Francisco and the Presidential Complex in Paris, France. Aidan spent his early years with his grandparents in Glasgow. He'd visit his parents in either San Francisco or Paris at least twice a month until his enrollment at Starfleet Academy.
Aidan Campbell's grandfather retired Starfleet Marine Colonel Ross Joseph Campbell introduced him to flying vintage aircraft during his early teen years. His grandfather told him he was a natural. He graduated from a piloting course at the age of fifteen. His grandfather purchased him a modified and restored F-86 Sabre circa 1950. Aidan inspired to join the Starfleet Marine Corps like his grandfather and to become a fighter pilot.
Aidan graduated from Starfleet Academy in 2373. He would receive a commission of the rank of Second Lieutenant attached to the 31st Fighter Squadron throughout the Dominion War. He was promoted to First Lieutenant and returned to Starfleet Academy for Intelligence training. Aidan would return to the field assigned to the 94th Fighter Squadron as a Reconnaissance Pilot.
From 2377 to 2378 Aidan Campbell was reassigned to the 18th Fighter Squadron as it's Assistant Commander until he was selected for Special Operations training due to his recruitment into Special Warfare Operational Reconnaissance Detachment (SWORD). After special operations training, First Lieutenant Campbell found himself assigned to SWORD III as a Pilot and promoted to Marine Captain. In 2381, Aidan Campbell took part in the extraction operation of Starfleet Intelligence Operative Devon Marks.
On his last mission assigned to SWORD III they were deployed to the badlands when they came across the partially damage and distraught USS Mohave. When the team boarded her, they discovered almost three quarters of the crew were dead. Campbell was given a field position of Strategic Operations Officer. Aidan put in a request after the USS Mohave returned to Spacedock for Strategic Operations training. After completion of his advanced studies he would be reassigned from Starfleet Academy on board the USS Pandora.
Campbell would be reassigned to the Dorvan V colony by orders of Commodore Brax, Director-at-large of the Starfleet Strategic Operations Bureau.
