Andrew 'Drew' murphy is currently the Chief of the Lake Anvil Police Department on Dorvan V.

[edit] BACKGROUND

Drew enrolled in Starfleet Academy at the age of 17 and began to leave a preverbal path of destruction in his wake. The academic side of things were not Drew’s cup of tea though he was adapt at doing just what he needed to get passing grades. He was much more comfortable with the social side of things at the academy. He was renowned for his drinking and womanizing which got him in trouble more times than he cares to remember but his charm more than often got him out of things with nothing more than a slapped wrist.

On his first Fleet assignment Drew part of a fighter escort involved in a first contact mission when things turned sour and things quickly turned nasty. Drew’s fighter took serious damage and when returning to the ship he lost control of his fighter and crashed it in to the flight deck resulting in the deaths of three deck hands. Drew was left with a only a scar on his arm from the accident as well as the guilt over the deaths of the 3 deck crew even though a board of inquiry cleared him of any negligence in the accident.

12 months later Drew was on the move, he was billeted to the post of Wing Commander aboard the newly acquired Outpost G-12. During his first mission aboard G-12 while serving aboard the stations auxiliary vessels the fighter wing under his command was involved in a skirmish with hostile forces resulting in the deaths of 6 of his pilots. Drew was rewarded with his part in the mission he was promoted to the rank of Marine Captain but was uncomfortable with the rank for a while and returned to his old ways of drinking and womanizing.

Drew left Outpost G-12 in the fall of 2381 after he was recruited to a post in Starfleet Intelligence, not much is known about Drew’s activities over the next few years. Though it is rumored that Drew was involved in an undercover position within the Orion Syndicate.

In 2383 Drew was part of an Orion boarding party that boarded the USS Aurelius. The problem was that Drew has been out of contact with Starfleet Intelligence for the previous 6 months and the CO of the Aurelius had no idea Drew was operating as part of the boarding party. By a stroke of luck, the CO of the Aurelius was Drew’s former Commanding Officer back on G-12, Hawquyne 56 and Drew used the fact that he knew stuff that only Hawquyne 56 would know to prove he was who he said he was. Drew was instrumental in the distraction that allowed the crew to retake the ship. Afterwards the Aurelius’ CMO returned Drew’s appearance to normal and found himself in limbo. Starfleet Intelligence had long since disavowed any knowledge of his mission and wanted nothing more to do with him. Everyone else thought he was dead as Starfleet had listed him as missing in action. Hawquyne 56 though gave him an opportunity aboard the Aurelius that of Wing Commander. At first Drew was unsure about the post but after Hawquyne 56 had show faith in him during the boarding he chose to repay it by serving on the Aurelius.

Once he returned to Earth though he found it hard to adjust to life. Starfleet Command pushed him from desk job to desk job, not wanting to put him in a field position feeling that his experiences under cover would make him a liability. By 2385 after two years of this Drew wanted out, he was contemplating jumping on the next ship to DS9 and getting a job on the first freighter to the Gamma Quadrant. That was until a secondment placing with the Lake Anvil Police Department crossed his desk. It seemed that they were after an experienced person to fill the post, although Drew had not much Security back ground he had taken an expansion course in it and thought he would give it a shot and asked to be seconded to the position. His CO jumped at the chance to get rid of Drew and pushed through the posting. Drew for the first time in a long time was excited about doing something, getting back to the sharp end of things, and as a bonus he would be his own boss.
