The Argo class is a continuation of the line of Runabout utility vessels that include the Danube-class, Yellowstone-class, and Hopper-class.
With a large rear bay and aft loading ramp it is primarily used for transporting cargo, although the bay is large enough to contain a small land-based vehicle.
