The second child of a seasoned Starfleet Officer Charlotte Donaldson was always destined to follow in her fathers footsteps as he brother, Allen, had 2 years earlier and join Starfleet. Charlotte Donaldson was born in 2360 on Starbase 23, the home to her mother who had dropped out of Starfleet Academy when she found out she was pregnant with her second child feeling that raising two children that were only 12 months apart was too much of a task and Charlotte’s mother returned to her childhood home of Starbase 23 to be with her family. With Charlotte being raised by her mother on Starbase 23 she did not see a lot of her father during her childhood something she was powerless to do anything about as her mother and father stopped talking when Charlotte was only two years old.

In 2372 at the age of 11 Charlotte boarded a transport ship that was destined for Deep Space 2, the home port of the USS Ark Royal the ship on which her farther served. Charlotte was head strong very much like her father she wanted thing to be done and she was going to do them her way. Upon finally reaching DS2 she was reunited with her father who had been warned of her arrival in advance by Charlotte’s mother how demanded that she be returned to Starbase 23 but fait interjected and the day before Charlotte was scheduled to return to her mothers custody the USS Ark Royal was called to active duty as the Dominion War had started.

Jonathon Donaldson was forced to take his daughter on to the Ark Royal with him, much to Charlotte’s Mothers annoyance. Upon the conclusion of the War Jonathon formally applied for custody of Charlotte and was granted it. Charlotte remained aboard the Ark Royal with her father until she reached the age of 18 and enrolled in Starfleet Academy to follow in her fathers footsteps and become a Starfleet CONN Officer.
