Erin was born on 15 June 2363 in her family's home in Ireland, Earth. She had an ordinary childhood, attending school and socialising with friends. Before long she was looking to the stars and Starfleet Academy.

Like most girls, she had an affinity for flowers from a young age. Though unlike most girls, she began learning more about them than simply how pretty they were. She recieved her first identification manual when she was six, and has yet to stop learning. Eventually her studys branched out from simply flowers to all kinds of flora from many worlds.

With her parent's blessing Erin applied for, and was accepted into, Starfleet Academy in 2380. She was enrolled in the Science track, specialising in Botany. She did well, attaining high, if not exceptional, marks. Following graduation, Erin recieved her first assignment aboard one of Starfleet's most distant explorers, the USS Oberon. She is both excited to begin her career and nervous about being so far from home.

During her time aboard the Oberon, Erin became involved with Nicholas Davies, the Cheif Scientist. The relationship was rocky at times, and eventually fell apart due to the CSO's tendency to be a workaholic. She served with distinction, grooming the hydroponics bay to excellence.

In 2387, her work bore fruit when she recieved a promotion to Lieutenant (Junior Grade), along with a transfer to the newly completed Zebra Station on Sigma Librae II, the Oberon's forward base of operations within the Hurucan Sector.
