Ethan last served aboard the USS Athena (NCC-80353) as Chief Intelligence Officer.
[edit] BACKGROUND
Ethan joined Starfleet straight from secondary education and involved himself in as many activities as he could. Even though his father wanted him to join the Marine Corp, this was something Ethan had decided not to do from a young age. His parents had always backed Ethan in what he believed in. He had always been interested in Intelligence matters, he had a keen interest in the late 20th & early 21st century intelligence and had written detailed reports and views on such subjects as the Lennon & Kennedy assassinations.
In his 2nd year as a Cadet Ethan followed the Tactical course, something that he found quite easy due to the photographic memory he possessed.
The following year within the Academy Ethan followed the Intel course, this he found interesting and considerably more taxing than Tactical.
He passed the course with flying colours and was granted a Cadet cruise on the USS Raven. Ethan was just thrilled to finally be allowed to be out in the field rather than stuck in classrooms every day.
Following the completion of the Cadet cruise, Ethan was assigned to Starfleet Intelligence for Intel training. Within the first month he was sent to a M class planet where a distress beacon had been picked up. Ethan went down with the away team, as they were searching for any survivors, Ethan tripped and fell down a narrow gully. He broke his shoulder in 2 places and ripped away half the skin around the shoulder blade area. He spent the next week in sickbay recovering. Although the arm was fixed, he was left with a 2 inch scar on the shoulder.
He spent the next 3 years onboard the USS Tigres learning the Tactical side of Starfleet inside out, but deep down he knew that one day he wanted to pursue Intelligence. He kept badgering his CO to give him his shot within Intel, although his CO could not find a position for him, Starfleet Command did and he was ordered to report to HQ. Once completed Ethan took part in numerous undercover operations of various classifications.
