The Fleet Command Senate is the ruling body of Sixth Fleet PBeM RPG. It is composed of Commanding Officers and Executive Officers (Senators) from the fleet's forces, as well as the Senior Staff Officers and various Senate Advisers.

[edit] Duties and Obligations
Although the Commander-in-Chief and the Senior Staff Officers make the day-to-day operating decisions for the fleet, any decision made by any officer may be completely overturned by a majority vote in the Senate.
Major decisions, such as changes in fleet policy or the Fleet General Orders, are always made by majority vote of the Senate.
[edit] Rights of Senators
Every Senator has as much power as any other Senator, except for the Commander-in-Chief who has several additional powers as the Senate Chair.
Each Senator has the right to make a proposal, second a proposal, and call for a vote on any issue. Every Senator is given exactly one vote in every poll.
[edit] Voting Procedures
To pass a proposal, one Senator must present that proposal along with a motion to approve. Another Senator must then second the motion. If no other Senator has objected to the proposal within 48 hours, the proposal passes. If any other Senator objects, however, the proposal may either be put immediately to a vote, or may be left for additional debate.
[edit] Senate Advisers
A Senate Adviser is an individual granted a position within the senate who is not otherwise entitled to that position. An individual may be asked to serve as a Senate Adviser because of his or her position within the fleet, past experience, or expertise in a specific field.
