Ensign Geneva Sirius V'Pau is a brand new Science Officer out of the Starfleet Academy and is currently on her first position, serving as the Assistant Chief Science Officer on the USS Hyperion (NCC-7438-F).

[edit] BACKGROUND

Before Birth:
Her father, Sevoku V'Pau worked as a professor at the Vulcan Science Academy and was looking for a wife when Nikki, a young women who had taken her last year of schooling at Harvard University off to take care of her mother, who was with her father and he hated to leave her home sick when he was on mission for StarFleet. The ship ended up in Vulcan at the end of the mission because of great damage and need to resupply. Nikki and Sevoku meet and quickly fell in love. He seemed to find her caring, motherly tendencies, and adventurist ways amazing, and he took and married her only after 5 months of knowing each other. Nikki and Sevoku had their first son (Surevek) 9 months after their honeymoon and settled in Shi’Kahr in Vulcan to be close to the Academy where he worked. Three years later Tristank was born.

Nikki wanted to have a daughter and they tried one last time to get a girl, after two years Geneva Sirius came alone. Nikki had chosen a more human name since she let Sevoku choose Vulcan names for the two boys, Sevoku had wanted to find a human middle name that would make Nikki laugh, so he researched Stars and old human mythology, he settled on her favorite star.

Childhood and Youth:
Growing up in Vulcan was some of the best times for young Geneva and still holds very dear memories to her. She was of course picked on a lot, because she had her mother’s blonde hair, but darker due to her dad's dark black hair, this results in sandy blonde, her brothers got the black hair. Making Geneva look differently then her siblings. She had a group of 3 friends who were always around her. She had a lot of boys falling for her and she had crushes like crazy. She spent the time she had off school at Kir with her grandparents, where she learned to swim and make adventures for herself and sometimes her brothers. Her grandparents always wanted her happy and smiling, which she would always do around them. She didn't like how she seemed to have a harder time controlling her emotions, more so then anyone else around her, including her own brothers. She figured she must try and slowly started to hide them a bit better. She started to have her first crush on boy when she turned 10 and for her it was love. They spent a lot of time together and then a few months later he told her he couldn't love or date a half-human and needed a pure Vulcan wife, so he left her for a good friend. After that she started to not show any emotion. Her parents had decided it wasn't best for her to stay on Vulcan and turn into what they thought would be depressed childhood and teenage years.

Geneva in High School, eating ice cream was one of the few things she liked about being on Earth.

So, Her parents took her and Tristank and moved to Seattle, Washington. They left Surevek with his grandparents, because of his age and the fact he wanted to go to the Vulcan Science Academy and figured it was best for him to stay in Vulcan. They did bring him to visit them on Earth and they went to visit him during Earth Summer breaks. Geneva was even more depressed when she found out they were moving and the fact they moved a few days after her 11th birthday did not make her any happier. She hid her emotions even more after that and would often fight and tell her parents that when she turns eighteen she would leave and rid herself of all emotions. They had many fights because of this and slowly things got back to normal after a few years. She was still emotionally hardened and didn't want to change that fact, she felt like she was truly Vulcan. She made a small group of close friends and started to like school. Most guys liked her and openly flirted and she would flirt back a lot to make them believe they had a chance so she could use them. She became known as the 'Queen', because most people liked her and felt she was a good person, because she did sometimes let her natural motherly and caring ways come out, but as a whole she used them like a queen would to make things work for her.

She was very bright and loved to write and study like crazy and also loved sitting in the science lab for long hours and became close to her teachers in those subjects. She tried many sports but stuck with swimming, gymnastics, Chanbara and Kumdo (martial arts), where she put all her problems with feelings, life, and family into doing great.

College Years:
A year or so before college, she decided to stop rebelling and given to what her parents wanted, She took off at seventeen years of age and went to Stanford University (even though her mom and dad tried to force her into Harvard and Yale), where during her last year her parents followed and became professors’. During her freshmen year, she started to let a few people slowly into her life. That first year she was happy, but grew sad and worried and never felt smart enough or great enough, so at the end of the year she almost broke down and run off to Vulcan. During the summer around her birthday, she found out a close friend she had on Vulcan, who had married her older brother had just died. She didn't give in to get rid of her emotions, even though she thought about it when she heard the news. She had thought about leaving Earth, the place she still blamed for her problems, but stayed. She only went to Vulcan because she felt guilty and to say good-bye to a dear friend and help her brother out, knowing he would be hurt. She didn't even visit with anyone there.

After all that. she ran back to school, which she oddly started to miss and feel safe, like it would protect her from the world for a little while longer and a few days into her second year she meet a boy. She fell quickly in love and she started to feel like he opened her up to the way she was as a child. They ended up married on June 29th, the summer before there last year of school and life seemed great for Geneva. Almost a year later, a week before graduation time, she caught him cheating with a person who had fallen in love with him at the same time as her and that he wasn't suppose to have spoken to since they started to date to keep their relationship safe. He tried to keep her from doing anything stupid or leaving and prove he wanted to keep her, but all she could do was leave him and no one knew where she was. She still kept in touch with her professors’ so she could finish classes and then without warning showed up at her graduation (which her parents didn’t even know she would be, they had to be there for work), distant but still a tiny bit of softness in her.

At graduation he begged her not to call the marriage off. She handed him the divorce papers and told him he wouldn't see her ever again, and that she was joining Starfleet, which she had spoken about joining many times in college (mainly about being like her grandfather) when she finished school. She then enrolled in star fleet after she had a bit of time off to take control of her life. Her parents have always wondered why she joined and they guess it is so she would never have to be on the same planet as him for much time.

Starfleet Academy:
Geneva took the entrance exam to the academy once before passing, not taking it at all serious and thinking it would be a lot easier. Once she joined the academy she felt she could start over and do a new life, that she always wanted. She wanted to undergo emotion purging again after the divorce, but decided against it. Thinking that her parents must have a reason for not let her do it, but letting her two older brothers do it. She felt she would learn from everything in her past and grow as a person. This ended up to be the reason on why she shouldn’t just get rid of her emotions to stop feeling, she that because one man hurt her, was not a good enough reason for him to change her. She did meet one of her best friend from Vulcan at the academy, which she had decided to join at the same time, because she remember how much Geneva talked about it, and took her time due to getting married. She also after a few months into the academy meet one of her friends from high school and another from university.

They all hit it off and became close friends. Being own as the ‘Fleet Princesses’, they all were doing different things, but all learning and were growing together. She did well in science but stayed under the radar, only a few professors got to know just how smart she really is and were only too happy to train her and make her better. They did keep her hidden as she wished till she was ready. But she did disappoint (on purpose) the few professors who knew of her grandfather and tried to push her, she ended up just being a pain to them. This cased her grandfather to call her a lot and dig into her. She finished in the four years she promised her grandfather she would, not without causing some problems first and having fun times.

Her genetics seem odd, She has lengthy long sandy blonde hair, which is typical of a human, but a natural undertone from her Vulcan half. She seems to have all the restrictions of Pon Farr and didn't go through with her first husband since they weren't empathically bonded. She seems very fit from her sports and so much working out and has a great weight to be healthy.
Excerpt from Psychological File:...Geneva still seems to have problems relating to both her Vulcan and Human sides and will quickly change between them. She has been trying to control her emotions and they seem to show morre than average for her background and she sometimes over works herself trying to hide them. She has also had serious emotional problems after her first marriage end the way it did. She seems to let only a few people in and doesn't seem to trust much, only if she gets a good feeling from them. She greatly trust the past and the things that reminds her of it, which it seems makes the process self repeating.
