MIDAS II

From Memory-Zeta

MIDAS II was the 3rd Bismarck mission and ran from November 19, 2006 – February 17, 2007.

[edit] Summary

The USS Bismarck is tasked by Admiral Black - the new Taskforce Commander - with the assembly of the new MIDAS II Array in the Gamma Quadrant. During the mission the Court Martial of Crewman Osmond (NPC) was carried out with Osmond defended by First Lieutenant Langdon and Lieutenant ch'Ares (NPC) prosecuting. Lieutenant Fields - as XO and a former JAG officer - served as judge. Construction of the MIDAS Array begins. Lt Commander Marshall summons Ensign Rhodes to the assembly site. Laikan counsels the argumentative Andorians Kivint and Tolush, and has a Pan-Galactic gargle Blaster to unwind. Kane starts the tests of the MIDAS array, then meets with Task Force Strategic Ops Officer Commander Michael Vaughn (NPC) to discuss the secret Intel purpose, “Project Watchdog.” The array is set up despite a problem with the transporters and activated. Unknown to the crew simultaneously Project Watchdog is set up and initialized, only the Captain and Commander Michael Vaughn know of it. Crewman Osmond is found guilty by the Court Martial. Once the array is up and running, the Bismarck returns to SB 836 for a short shore-leave.
