Marni Stein-Goldberg

From Memory-Zeta

Marni Kate Stein-Goldberg-Livni (also known as Marni Livni, Marni Goldberg, Marni Stein-Livni and Marni Stein-Goldberg is the mother of three children, a wife, a widow, and a somebody who has been simming for years.

[edit] History

Back in the time before dust was invented and cavemen still were trying to invent fire and the wheel, Marni Livni was born, it was a dark time and the work was hard, but before long, there was dust, and there was fire but there was still no light, until the happy time when there finally was a new creation called Star Trek. After many many years of enjoying Star Trek, and some of it's follow up movies and sequel Star Trek: The Next Generation, in 1987, Marni discovered Quantum Link the old online service for her Commodore 64, where she was finally able to network with her fellow Trek fans.

The next year, under an assumed name, after getting her first Windows operated computer, she discovered and began to enjoy the fun that is known as simming. As simming changed, so did Marni's playing career, eventually becoming one of the longest running Play-by-Email people on the web. She is probably the last person who is active in the community who was part of the GEnie simming exploration (a group from a RoundTable on GEnie starting a sim after somebody claimed to have seen it done on another web service).

By 1993, Marni was hooked on simming to the point where even through 6 attempts at retiring, she is still going strong in the simming world.

[edit] Fleets and Simulations

As most of the time that Marni has been around the simming environment was spent under assumed names and not her real name, there are several years that she will not disclose where she served or as what. Go ahead, ask her, she will laugh in your face. She will start the time that she will admit to happily with Tango Fleet where in 2005 she joined the USS Hyperion (Now a simulation in Sixth Fleet), after a few months, she joined the USS Lancelot, and then finally Outpost G-12-Lacirem Nor (Joined Sixth Fleet, now closed).

Following the split of Tango Fleet and Sixth Fleet, Marni followed the Sixth Fleet group and became a member of that group. After leaving the Hyperion and staying only on G-12, Marni's first husband passed away and she posted even though she was obviously depressed. Eventually she joined the simulation that was known as Starfleet Command, and the USS Zodiac, before both G-12 and the Zodiac closed. After leaving Starfleet Command, with the intent to retire from Simming, Marni was asked to join the simulation known as the USS Bismarck, eventually she later joined the Special Operations simulation SWORD-7 for a short time. After about a year and a half on the Bismarck, Marni was growing tired of simming again and planned on retiring yet again, this retirement lasted for about a day before she returned to the Bismarck and joined the game that was known as Crossroads, Sixth Fleet's first (and so far only) attempt at playing in the time of the Original Series of Star Trek, she left Crossroads in under a year and then eventually left the Bismarck, again trying to retire, this time making it through an entire week before she returned to simming, this time joining the USS Poseidon, a simulation that while it has gone through several names in it's history is a simulation that was commanded by somebody who Marni considered a great commanding officer. She still remains on the USS Avalon, the latest name for the simulation that now was the Poseidon.

[edit] Conclusion and Warning

While the history and information that there is on Marni Livni could continue for ever, we will end it with this, she is a great player but a dangerous person. If you see Marni, do not approach her, she has been known to kill at sight without any weapons, and she is even more deadly if she has a weapon, for her, the pen is not mightier then the sword, they are the same.
