Fleet Admiral Robert E. Jones (2321-present) was the founding Commander-in-Chief of Starfleet's Sixth Fleet. He is one of the most highly decorated officers within the fleet and has earned the respect of many through his exemplary leadership. After the foundation of Sixth Fleet, Jones' commitment was the driving force that helped Sixth Fleet rise to the heights that it has achieved presently.

[edit] BACKGROUND

Robert E. Jones was born on February 13, 2321 in San Antonio, Texas. His parents sent him to boarding school, where he met his lifetime competitor and friend Lukas Karafiol. Jones strove to excel in academics and sports but always had to take second place behind Karafiol. Even during their years at Starfleet Academy the two competed on every occasion, almost resulting in their expulsion after they stole two shuttlecraft and navigated them into the guest house of the Academy Commandant.

Starfleet Career

Robert E. Jones quickly rose through the ranks serving on several ships and stations and established himself as an outstanding officer. This time it was Karafiol who was standing in the shadow of Jones. Jones has proven himself to be a very able tactician, participating in and leading many battles for the United Federation of Planets. His commendable leadership has earned him a Flag Officer Rank and as of May 2382 the position of Commander-in-Chief of Sixth Fleet with the honorary rank of Fleet Admiral.
