Starbase 83

Starbase 83 is a Federation space station that featured in both the USS Edison and Deridous IV sims. The facility was located approximately one lightyear from the Deridous IV system, and acted as an important hub for transport and trade in the region known as the Crossroads, at the confluence of borders between several major local powers.

In 2381, Starbase 83 was home to the 185th Tactical Fighter Group during a training program that would prepare them for their eventual deployment aboard the USS Edison. Training was led by Luka Kane, a Provisional Officer "on loan" form the Bajoran Militia. The pilots under his authority included Ellen Daala.
