Why was this ribbon “redesigned” from the old Tango Fleet version?

Personally, I find the new Sixth Fleet rendition to be a bit “busy” compared to the simply-stated Tango Fleet version.

When I set about uploading the ribbons the version you have above is the one I loaded for the AOD. Somewhere along the line it got changed to the pinstripped version we have at the moment. Personally I prefer this blue and white version, but the stripped one matches what is on the sixth fleet website.

I believe there is a discussion planned on the senate for commendations, so it could be brought up then. - Steve 11:12GMT, 7 Feb 2009
