Pre Starfleet

Born in Christchuch New Zealand Taylor Madison Stark, was the daughter of a Betazoid Marine and a Human Civilian Scientist. The pair already had a daughter, 5 years olders, Sierra. Two years after Taylors's birth the family had there third and final chid, Robert. Their mother worked mostly out of Starfleet Science on Earth, so the family remained in Christchurch. Their father was often off world for his work with the Marines but following the Dominion War he retired and returned to Christchurch.

Growing up Taylor displayed a very sharp mind, she also began to display telepathic abilities at an early then normal age. She didn't have any serious problems with it, and was out going and friendly growing up. In her early teens she displayed a desire to go to Starfleet. Her mother was less then thrilled, Sierra had already joined Starfleet as a Tactical major, and their mother was worried. However she was set at ease slightly when Taylor decided she wanted to go into the Sciences.

In the Academy she was on the Volleyball team all four years, including the team Captain in her fourth year. She had a few short lived relationships but was never in anything super serious as she was often more involved in her work. Early in her career she often stayed away from the Tactical side of things, however with rising tension during the Dominion Cold War she started getting into it more and more. She started just working out more and practicing on the phaser range, but soon she was taking the offered open Marine Combat Training classes. Even after the war she stays up to date on new weapons and tactics.

Starfleet Career

Stark was accepted into the academy on first intake, due in part to her excellent marks, but her father being a Career Marine didn't hurt matters. She excelled in the Science course during her first year but also did surprising well in the Tactical and more combat oriented fields. This resulted in her spending her second year in Intelligence with a Major in the Sciences. However after her year here she decided to switch to regular Sciences. She even transferred to the Trill Campus for her final year. She majored in Astrophysical Sciences and minored in the Technical Sciences and Operations side fo things.

Stark took her first assignment to the Nebula Class USS Cardiff, a year and a half here as the ships Astrometrics Science Officer. The ship had a rather dull mission, charting sections of the Gamma Quadrant near the wormhole along with the Lexington and several other Nebula Class ships. While most of the work was repetitive it did grant her the time she needed to completed the work on her Doctorate and earn her her PhD. However shortly after start of the Dominion War the Cardiff was caught in a surprise Jem'Hadar attack. With most of the ships compliment being Science Personnel the Cardiff fare poorly. Almost all of the Senior Staff were killed as were close to a third of the ships crew. However, the vessel managed to escape and make it back to the wormhole.

After the time it took to repair the vessel had a new senior staff scraped together. The ship was now Commanded by its old Third Officer Commander Knight, newly promoted Lieutenant Junior Grade Stark was made the Assistant Chief Science Officer, but given the situation of being at war her more important post was as Acting Chief Intelligence Officer. Here she remained for the rest of the war. The Cardiff served in several key battles including: Operation Return, the Battle of Betazed, and the First Battle of Chin'toka. However here the Cardiff suffered greatly, it lost a large number of crew members and was out of battle for almost the entire war. It was repaired in time to be thrown into Battle for the Battle of Cardassia where it was eventually destroyed.

Stark who was injured but did survive and was promoted to Lieutenant Senior Grade. With the loss of the Cardiff she was assigned as the Assistant Chief Science Officer to the USS Greenland, a Galaxy Class Starship. Stark was in this post for 3 years before being approached by Captain Warren Sanders of Starfleet Science with a proposition to have her lead Project Rabbit Hole. Rabbit Hole was a classified project which would focus on trying to create a method of super long range transport, on the order of several thousand lightyears or more. The project had limited success, most of their solutions required very specific conditions, there could be little to no interference over the course of the path, the path needed to be a straight line but couldn't pass through things like stars. In the end the project was shelved for future analysis. Stark however began a side project during the end of the mission, hoping that if artificial wormhole could become stable there would be a way to created anchored ones which people could pass through, with out the need of a Starship to transverse it. She is still working on the project in her free time, but her goal is still very far off, if possible at all.

In 2380 Stark was made Chief Science Officer of Starbase 647, at the rank of Lieutenant Commander. This was her home for 3 years before she accepted a post o the Akira Class USS Charles de Gaulle, also known by its nickname the CDG. It may have seemed odd to accept a science post on a carrier but Stark wanted a challenge. She remained here for two years using her off hours to work on several different side projects. In early 2385 she accepted a post as Chief Science Officer, and Hazard Team Science Specialist on the Sovereign Class USS Hyperion. However after only several weeks she was promoted to full Commander and assigned to the Hurucan Sector, only finding out her assignment when she arrived.

After several months she was posted to Starbase 418. Again she found her posting to be a short one and in the first weeks of 2387 she was again transferred this time to the Prometheus Class USS Lynx (NCC-79981) with the added duties of Second Officer.
