The USS Aurora (NCC-75439) is a Defiant-class vessel constructed during the Dominion War. Following the end of the conflict she was deployed on various patrol and policing assignments, and in 2384 was based at Starbase 326 as part of a patrol force along the Federation's coreward deep space border. In 2385, she was deployed as part of a force to help secure the newly-explored Hurucan Sector, and was assigned as an escort to the USS Cambrian (NCC-74986-A).
