The USS Destiny is a Sovereign-class starship. During active duty she was commanded by Captain David Skimmel. Destiny was retired from active duty, and has been used as a weapon's testbed by Star Fleet Research. She was later stripped of useful components and was mothballed. Destiny is currently in orbit near Mars.

The crew of the Destiny transferred to various ships throughout Starfleet and many have retired from the fleet.
