[edit] BACKGROUND
Wraeth Nytes started out a little later than most cadets - he was 22 when he applied, instead of the usual 18-19. Entering the Marine Corp, he shows a knack for flying and hand-to-hand combat. As his marks were relatively low in marksmanship, he put in for the flight course. There's no question as to how that ended.
Through the years Wraeth moved from assignment to assignment, spending 2 to 4 years at any particular post before being moved from one to the other. He has participated in the Battle of Sector 001, multiple engagements during the Dominion war, and the initial defence and eventual liberation of Betazed.
Most of the vessels he served onboard were still flying when he left. The same cannot be said of the USS Borat - a lucky strike on her unshielded hull by a lurking band of pirates resulted in a warp core breech the eventually destroyed the vessel, and most of her compliment, but not before the pirates were brought low themselves.
Wraeth was assigned to the USS Hyperion, as CAG, and recently transferred to the USS Athena in the same capacity.

LIKES: Wraeth likes order in his chaos.
DISLIKES: Dogs and seafood bear the brunt of his disdain. Though he will not refuse a drink on social occasions, Wraeth also frowns upon intoxication, especially in his pilots. Slovenly performance and poor appearance are two more ways to get on his black list at transwarp speeds.
STRENGTHS: He is a skilled tactitian, capable of grasping unit manuvers within a battle. It doesn't matter what form is being employed - ground troops, Fighter squadrons, or Fleet battles - he's got the knack for fighting in the here and now that is beyond normal.
Despite his label as a 'braniac' for his telepathic abilities, Wraeth Nytes is a marine first and foremost. His specialty is hand to hand combat, though he is no slouch with ranged weapons.
LIMITATIONS: Strangely enough, Wraeth's biggest problem is Public Speaking. He is also unable to read Ferengi and other such "blank" races.
TALENTS: Playing the Piano. He initially chose the musical instrument as a focus for early centering techniques while studying on Vulcan, and has since never let his skill wane.
AMBITIONS: Wraeth keeps mostly to himself, and thus his personal ambitions rarely see enough light to be discernable. He has mentioned that he's interested in a family, though there's been no ovbious effors towards that end.
QUIRKS: One would think that his ability to read minds and feel the emotions of those around him would make Wraeth a people person to the max. This is far from the truth, however, as he spends the majority of his time in his quarters, usually meditating.
HOBBIES / INTERESTS: If meditating can be considered a hobby .... Aside from this, he keeps a working knowledge of the mechanics of his fighters, assisting the flight crews in the repair and maintenance of his personal craft.
